Assessment of Media and Candidates

Assessment of Media and Candidates  (Rush, Hannity, Jones, Beck; Dave Ramsey replaces Beck as #3 talk radio (presenting personal finance/life.)

Rush Limbaugh is a lot like Donald Trump in that he used colorful language, speaking the truth, for a few years, but his brother David Limbaugh convinced him that a better tone would be more to the liking of a wider audience.

At any rate, your counterpoints and discussion are encouraged.  Type a ‘comment’ under this post.   Rush Limbaugh speaks against those dividing the anti-ESTABLISHMENT movement, but says he doesn’t want to name names (he probably means Glenn Beck).  I’ll wait also and put some comments under this post.  There is a lot to say—hope I’m not just talking to myself.

About Glenn Beck … a good LDS man, except in this one instance

Let’s talk about LDS participants one at a time, either Mitt Romney or Glenn Beck first. I’ll try to cover one each day for a week. Mitt Romney may be more important so let’s talk about Glenn Beck first. I listened to his show today and his team was going on and on for about an hour, talking about voting third party. They debated among themselves about inviting HRClinton or Trump onto the show so they could point out their lies. Glenn Beck says he would be respectful but believes Trump is an evil man and his policies are also evil, and no better than the character and policies of our “Black president”.

Glenn Beck is a very visionary man—blessed and led by God. He can see the future but does not know God’s timing. He prays to know God’s will and has had amazing rallies. He teaches Gospel Doctrine in his LDS ward in Texas. In his early days in radio he was popular but drank and [etc] which lead to divorce and depression. His current wife is amazing and the reason he turned around. She demanded they find a church and so visited several, finally they visited the LDS Church and their daughter told them she felt very special there. The day after Glenn Beck was baptized he got a two calls for a new radio job, and from there he rose to #3 in talk radio.

You may not know why he left FoxNews in NYC: it was mainly because of health reasons. The cold weather and other considerations made it mandatory to move to Texas. He went several years barely able to fly without curling up into a ball. Miraculously, a military examination lead to the cure he needed. Through this time, he was praying intently to know what God wanted him to do. He is like red-neck Jeff Foxworthy, with adult attention deficiency, meaning he needs to work on a dozen things all the time and go into sleep deprivation. He does better now and his studios are amazing.

What is interesting to me is that he assumes he knows the heart and intent of Donald Trump. Before, Glenn Beck proposed and taught we had to come together and respect other views. He probably got this influence from LDS Church leaders and their world broadcast talks, twice a year. But now, Mark Levin and Glenn Beck assume they know the character and future policies of Donald Trump, based on some of his past. By contrast, Sean Hannity praises Trump and Rush Limbaugh explains Trump and says he is a good man. What Rush Limbaugh explains is that Trump goes over the line as a negotiator so he can come back with a little compromise. Beck and Levin take his comments too literally.

And what are the comments Beck and Levin do not like? Building the Wall? Figuring out about Syrian refugees? Making better trade deals? Keeping the bathrooms rather the same, which can be decided by legislators, not the president? Trumpsters are firm in our support because the nation is on the cliff-edge.

Studious LDS believe troubled times will come before the Second Coming and perhaps the Constitution will hang by a thread, only to be saved by the Elders of Israel, meaning the Priesthood of The Church. "Stand in holy places."

Senator Ted Cruz and Senator Marco Rubio

Today, as Donald Trump was wrapping up more delegates in WV and Nebraska, the two senators with delegates were on TV to answer questions and make statements. Marco Rubio takes himself out of consideration for VP and Trump’s running mate. Further, he reaffirms that he disagrees with Trump and his policies. (He assumes that he knows what they will be.) I didn’t see the press conference with Rubio.

On the other hand, I saw all of the press conference of Senator Ted Cruz on FoxNews. A gaggle of reporters were asking questions, stupid and wise, and Cruz was excellent in answering with the perspective he wanted to convey. Lasting about 40min, it seemed like a cathartic moment for him—he said he would fly back today to DC to serve in the Senate. He said it was an honor for him, Heidi and their two daughters to have run, and the Conservative Movement would continue. He will continue to fight for Jobs, Freedom, and Security. He answered many questions, including not saying the race was over. Later in the day, he was on with Glenn Beck for about 15 minutes. He doesn’t expect a path to victory at an open convention. Rubio, on the other hand, seems to hold out HOPE.
