Carly Fiorina looks unphotogenic but 'top-tier' in the primetime debate.

The top ten will be in the evening debate (per latest polling) and the 'lesser polling' candidates will be in the debate before that, if they poll with at least 1%. Jake Taper and Hugh Hewitt will moderate both debates.

Chris Christie says he may 'blow up' at the debate; and Carly Fiorina is currently about number seven in polling so should be in the evening primetime debate.

Of Course, Donald Trump will again dominate because of his calm concise brilliant and inspired quips that many want to say but have no voice on the national stage. His popularity will rise, and in October, his wife, Melania, will begin to talk about her 'mission' as First Lady, to do with causes of women. "My Mother was a great woman; and women love me", says Donald Trump!

I'll be there. You have to be invited, but you could go the booksigning before.

Be there at 4:30pm to meet Dick Cheney and his daughter Liz Cheney.

Republican Primary Main First Debate, (part 1) 9pmET August 6, 2015
with Brett Baier, Megyn Kelly, and Chris Wallace

In order: Donald Trump, Jeb Bush, Scott Walker, Mike Huckabee, Ben Carson,
Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Rand Paul, Chris Christie, and John Kasich.

ED: We prefer Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, Scott Walker, Marco Rubio, Ben Carson; and
not Rand Paul, John Kasich, Mike Huckabee, and especially not J.Bush or Chris Christie.
Six million participated in viewing and submitting questions via cosponsor, Facebook.

Hand-raise to pledge not to run ‘third-party’ and support the Republican nominee
Trump: I can totally make that pledge if I am the nominee. I want to run as the Republican.
Paul: He is already pledging his bets and given a lot to politicians.

Critics show you are not experienced in foreign policy, the economy, [and more.]
Carson: I could talk issue with all of those things, and we will have time. Have a brain. America became a great nation, not because it was flooded with politicians, [but God-given common sense.]

Can you do better than J.Bush who ran Florida?
Rubio: The selection had better be about the future not the past. Economy. Changes have been disruptive. We need someone who can understand. How will Hillary lecture me about living paycheck-to-paycheck?

Do we need another Bush?
Bush: In Florida, they call me ‘Jeb’ because we created 1.3million jobs, Etc.

You call women you don’t like ‘fat pigs’ (Trump interjects, “only Rosie O’Donnell”)
Trump: The big problem this country has is being politically correct. Frankly, I don’t have time. We lose to China, we lose to Mexico. It’s kidding. We need strength, brain, and energy.

You do nothing to grow the party, it is said, and you criticized Senator O’Connell
Cruz: The American people are looking for someone to speak the truth and not get in bed with the special interest lobbyists. There is a reason we are in $18TRILLION in debt.

Graphic of NJ going down.
Christie: If you think it is bad now, you should have seen it before I got there. [Adds facts]

You signed an Abortion law, but you were against the exception
Walker: I’ve always been pro-Life agreeing with most Americans. I defunded Planned Parenthood four years ago. That is an unborn baby.

How do you get Democrats to vote for you?
Huckabee: Invoke the 5th and 14th amendment to defund Abortion. The Supreme Court is not the supreme being. [powerful statement]

With foreign policy, why are you so quick to blame your own party?
Paul: ISIS rides around in a billion dollars worth of Humvees. Do not fund them and do not arm them.

Republican Primary Main First Debate, (part 2) 9pmET August 6, 2015
with Brett Baier, Megyn Kelly, and Chris Wallace

Why should Republican voters expect you to not expand government?
Kasich: We are treating the veterans, Reagan expanded. Prisoners are treated. [Applause]

Immigration
Bush: I so stand by my statement of the Path to Citizenship (in my book) and there is much to do. Rather than talk about a wedge issue like Obama has done, not Amnesty. Fix the border, eVerify, [etc]

Do you have evidence that Mexico sends their worst criminals?
Trump: If it weren’t for me, you wouldn’t even be talking about the criminals. Media did not quote me correctly. We need to build a wall. And I don’t mind to have a big door.

To end this hour-hour segment, Chris Wallace springs his trap on Trump and gives him an additional 30 seconds to document “specific evidence” that the Mexican government sends their criminals across the border.
Trump: I’ve talked to the guards at the border. [You can click on the transcript link below]

First commercial at the half-hour mark for the movie “Bridge of Spies” coming Oct 16th.

Do you want to talk about what Donald Trump just said?
Kasich: We need to take a lesson from Donald Trump. People are dissatisfied. We each have differing solutions. I was in the military and understand. Mr Trump is touching a nerve and we all want to have that concern.

What do you think, Marco Rubio
Rubio: The majority coming in are from other countries; I agree with Gov Kasich. People feel we are being taken advantage of. People call my office after waiting 15 years.

You wanted a quick path to citizenship and now you change your mind.
Walker: I listened to people. We need to secure the border. International criminal organizations are breeching our borders.

Will you support the Kate Steinle’s Law
Cruz: Absolutely yes. I’ve filed it on the floor of Congress, and our own leaders blocked it. They don’t want to enforced the border. Obama said he wanted to fundamentally change this country. I have never supported amnesty and lead the fight against the Gang of Eight.

Do you blame Ron Paul if we are attacked?
Christie: Yes I do; I am the only one on this stage that prosecuted terrorists. We went to their funerals. For seven years we respected rights; we have to give more tools and then oversee them.

Ron Paul requests a rebuttal
Paul: [You can click on the transcript link below]
Christie: You can blow air in the committee.

Speak to ISIS
Cruz: We need a commander-in-chief who will speak the words, ‘radical Islamic terrorists’. The state department speaks nonsense, talking jobs. We need to tell young men there, “If you sign up with ISIS, you are signing your death warrant.”

Republican Primary Main First Debate, (part 3) 9pmET August 6, 2015
with Brett Baier, Megyn Kelly, and Chris Wallace

ISIS is thriving now
Bush: It was a mistake to have gone into Iraq. Here’s the lesson: Obama abandoned Iraq and the void brought us ISIS. We need to take them out with every tool at our disposal.

Which additional country, not already in our coalition, do you say we need to add?
Walker: We need to focus on the allies that we have: Egypt, Saudi Arabia. We need to lead and would then have nations throughout the Arab world.

Advanced interrogation techniques
Carson: Thank you Megyn, I wasn’t sure I was going to get to talk again. What we do to get the information is not necessarily our business.I wouldn’t be broadcasting to everybody. We’ve gotten into this mindset of fighting politically correct wars. There is no such thing as a politically correct war. The Left will say I don’t believe in the Geneva Conventions. Use the great intellect that we have to win wars and don’t tie the hands of our military behind their back.

Obamacare is a disaster; were you for Canadian healthcare
Trump: Before I say, I just want to say that four years ago I was the only one on stage that wanted to not go into Iraq. I knew it would totally destabilize the Middle East.
Trump: Single-payer could have worked in Canada, Scotland. I have a big organization … I will take care of the poor through a different system. [Read the transcript yourself.]

You’ve also supported other Liberal causes and candidates
Trump: It’s a broken system. Yes, Hillary came to my wedding.
Walker jumps in: We should be talking about Hillary; what she touches [shrivels].

Federal level
Huckabee: Should be shifted back to the states. Move to Fair Tax on consumption.
Carson: God is a fair guy, at a tithe of 10% everyone is treated the same way.

Common Core
Bush: The federal government should not be involved in creating curriculum. In Florida I create voucher and challenged the teacher unions. Graduation improved by 50%.
Rubio: The problem with Common Core is government will not be satisfied with just a suggestion and will move to demanding standards or refuse to send money.
[Brett Baier tries to get the two to say something different, and they both talk about the same.]

The top of the hour movie commercial break was five-minutes late, “Steve Jobs” Etc.

HRClinton will come after the Republican nominee, not supporting the poor
Kasich: She will come at it in a narrow way; we need to be broader with balancing a budget and have economic growth. Reach out to the shadows. The miracle can apply to you. Lift everybody, it can be done.
Carson: I doubt Hillary will be their nominee: she is the epitome of the Progressive movement and the Alinsky model that people are stupid. I will educate, “that is ruining everything.” Etc.

Economy, Jobs, and Government
Bush: We’ve done it several times since WW II. There are 6million people living in poverty. Etc. Build the Keystone pipeline.

You didn’t create the jobs you said you would
Walker: People create jobs, not government. The people expect you to shoot high.

Republican Primary Main First Debate, (part 4) 9pmET August 6, 2015
with Brett Baier, Megyn Kelly, and Chris Wallace

Entitlement reform
Christie: 71% of spending is on entitlement and we talk about the 29%. Means-test and raise the age for starting Social Security.

Deal with Iran
Huckabee: We got nothing! Not even our hostages. “When someone points a gun at your head and threatens to shoot you, By God, you had better take them seriously!”

Ad break: “Mission Impossible” movie ad with Tom Cruise at 10:20pmET plus other ads.

Social Issues: Planned Parenthood
Bush: I joined the Bloomberg board and my record is I defunded Planned Parenthood.
Rubio: I have never said that. That law already exists, the Constitution. Future generations will look back and call us barbarians.

You identified as a Democrat.
Trump: I’ve evolved on many issues, like Ronald Reagan. I hate the concept of abortion, if you listen to the whole tape. I am pro-Life. I come from New York which is nearly all Democrat. This man’s brother [Bush] gave us Obama.

Your three words against Donald Trump [Meant to tick Trump off, turns out the leak was a lie.]
Bush: It is not true I said those words. We don’t win by dividing. I cut taxes.
Trump: I appreciate that; he is a gentleman. We don’t have time for tone when Jihadists are cutting heads off. We have to out and get the job done—win the war.

What if your daughter said she was GAY (audience cheers in favor of GAYs)
Kasich: I just went to a GAY wedding; God gives unconditional love and I would give that to my daughter no matter what she does or believes.

Another GAY question to do with Christian bakeries
Paul: Look, I don’t want my marriage, or my guns, registered in Washington DC. [cheers] The government tried to get the sermons in Texas. That is the time to resist.

Overly aggressive police officers, how can you address it?
Walker: It’s about training. We stand up and support those doing their job; and for those that don’t there is punishment.

Iranian traveled to Moscow to gain support. What would you do?
Trump: I would be the polar opposite. We have a president who doesn’t have a clue. I would say he is ‘incompetent’ but I don’t want to say that because that is not nice. [audience and monitors laugh] But if you look at the deals that we do [arm gestures] We get Bergdahl a traitor and they get five of their main leaders that they want. We have people in Washington, that don’t know what they are doing! We are giving Iran $150Billion and if Iran were a stock you should buy it and quadruple your investment. The Deal in Iran is a disgrace and it will lead to destruction in large portions of the world. [He speaks with conviction, strength, and great emphasis! Of course, many know this, but his reinforcement brings others pause to think.]

Another new development today: cyberattack from Russia; also China largest ever
Cruz: We’ve seen HRClinton and Obama leading from behind and see results. The day General Silimani is the day the cyberattack occurred from Russia. Iran release American hostages in 1981 the day Ronald Reagan was sworn into office.

Republican Primary Main First Debate, (part 5) 9pmET August 6, 2015
with Brett Baier, Megyn Kelly, and Chris Wallace

President Obama declined using force in Syria after drawing his red line; would you?
Carson: We have weakened our military so much that it affects decisions. Our Navy is the smallest since 1970, our Air Force since 1940, Commandant of the Marine Corps says half of the units are not ready. The Sequester is cutting the heart out of our personnel, generals are retiring because they don’t want to be part of this. And at the same time, our enemies are increasing. Our friends can’t trust us anymore. Ukraine gave away their nuclear weapons with the understanding we would protect them, we turn our backs on them and Israel. Of course, Obama doesn’t do anything. I would shore up or military to keep options.

Cyberattack.
Walker: It is sad to say that Russia and China know more about what was on the Hillary Clinton server than members of the Unites States Congress. Putin believes when you find mush you push, when you find steel you stop. I would give Ukraine weapons. I would put back the shield we had in Poland and Czech Republic.

Women in military, GAYS, and transgenders
Huckabee: The military is not a social experiment. It is to defend America. We’ve reduced the military under Obama by 25%. Why do we even have a military? B-52 planes are older than me.

What made you change your mind on supporting Israel?
Paul: Let’s be clear, I’m the only one on stage that has a balanced budget. [(What?}] Each of my budgets has taken a meat ax to foreign aid. Do you borrow money from China to send it to other countries? We do not have the money. We are borrowing a million dollars a minute and it has to stop somewhere.
Christie: Listen, I agree with Dr Carson. The first thing we have to do is to strengthen our military, and I put out a specific plan. [Details] This would send a message around the world.
Cruz wants to step in but a commercial is their priority, to be followed by final statements

“Have you received a message from God on what you should take care of first?”
Cruz: I’m blessed to read the scriptures every day and God speaks through the Bible. “You shall know them by their fruits and if we are going to win, we need a fiscal conservative, a social conservative, national security conservative, and a consistent conservative.”

Kasich: My father was a mailman. I do believe in miracles, not about campaigns but a movement to restore common sense with nobody left behind. We need to unite and respect others. God wants America to be strong and lead. Nothing is more important to me than my family, my faith, and my friends.

Walker: Thanks, Megyn. I am an imperfect man, and it is from the blood of Jesus Christ that I am redeemed from my sins. God didn’t give me a list like the Ten Commandments—God calls us to do His will. In my state with the protests, I didn’t respond in kind; just living my life in a way that would be at testimony to Him, in faith.

Megyn adds what would God have you do for veterans:
Rubio: First let me say, God has blessed us. He’s blessed the Republican party with very good candidates, and the Democrats can’t even find one. (cheers) And God has blessed this country; blessed with fine young military that will give their lives for our freedom and security. Our VA does not do enough for them. We passed a law to fire anyone not doing their job, and sadly, they have fired only one person.

Republican Primary Main First Debate, (part 6) 9pmET August 6, 2015
with Brett Baier, Megyn Kelly, and Chris Wallace

Megyn adds in race relations to the ‘God question’ for Dr Carson: The bully-pulpit is a wonderful place to start to heal that divide. We have the purveyors of hatred that take every single incident and try to make a race war out of it. When I take someone into surgery, the skin doesn’t make them who they are. We need to move beyond that. We are not the ‘Divided States of America’; we shouldn’t let them do it..

Each candidate will now have opportunity to make a closing statement

Kasich: I want to tell you what I’ve done. … [See transcript] (bell) People have Hope again in Ohio.

Christie: I was born in the middleclass. I’m a Conservative and pro-Life. Stop worrying about being loved, and start worrying about being respected.

Paul: I’m a different kind of Republican; balanced budget; largest tax cut in history; I stood for ten and a half hours on the Senate floor to defend your right to be left alone. I’m the only one that leads Hillary Clinton in five states that were won by President Obama.

Rubio: Thank you. [(always the gentleman)] Parents came to America. American Dream makes our nation different. I want that to still be possible. I’m asking for your vote so we can make America even greater.

Cruz: If elected, on my first day in office I’ll rescind every illegal executive action of Barack Obama.(cheers) The next thing will be to open an investigation of the videos and prosecute any violations of Planned Parenthood. Next, have the Justice Dpt look at IRS persecution, cancel the Iran Deal, and finally, move the US Embassy to Jerusalem. I will keep my word to defend freedom because my family fled Cuba and I know what it is like to lose it.

Carson: I haven’t said, “I’m the only one” so let me try that: I’m the only one who has separated Siamese twins. I’m the only one who has operated on a baby in the womb; I’m the only one who has removed half a brain, but if you go to Washington you might think someone beat me to it. We must all fight for freedom every day—freedom isn’t free.

Huckabee: It seems this season has been about someone who is high in the polls, who could not lead; and of course, I’m talking about Hillary Clinton. (long laughter) I think America is in trouble, but it is not beyond repair. We can once again be the best, one nation under God; I’ll do my best to do that; and Thank You for your support.

Walker: We turned our state around with big reforms; we can do that for America.

Bush: We are alive at the greatest time; Washington is holding us back. We can restore America. I humbly ask for your vote.

Trump: {Talking with his hands} Our country is in serious trouble. We don’t win anymore; we don’t beat China in trade; we don’t beat Japan with their millions and millions of cars coming in; we can’t beat Mexico at the border or in trade. We can’t do anything right—our military has to be strengthened, our vets have to be taken care of. We have to end Obamacare and we have to make our country great again, and I will do that. Thank You, … thank you.

Candidates shake hands, a few hugs and whispers; families join them on stage.

It appears Trump remains popular; Rubio, always the gentleman, spoke well, as did Dr Carson and Cruz. Bush had more passion than was expected, and didn’t say the three words against Trump. It was a planted trap that didn’t work. Others were good but didn’t stand out.

Here’s the W-Post transcript:

Next debate (September 16th) is right before the Iowa caucuses.

This concludes the main debate, top-polling ten candidates (my notes).
